Choosing Christian Sexual Integrity Coaching

When you want help with pornography, secrecy, or infidelity, choosing the right support matters. These questions can help you understand a coach’s role, approach, and boundaries before you commit.

Searching for Christian help with pornography or secrecy can leave you comparing coaches, counselors, pastors, and groups without knowing what each offers. Before choosing, ask what kind of support you need and what the person is actually qualified to provide. A shared faith matters, but it is not the only question.

1. What will we work on together?

Ask for a concrete description of a session. At Renewed Integrity, coaching centers on your goals, recurring situations, values, boundaries, and the actions you choose to practice. For example, a goal might be planning a more intentional response to unstructured evening time, then reviewing what happened at the next session.

Ask: “How will we decide what to work on, and how will we review my follow-through?” Avoid relying on promises of a quick fix or a guaranteed relationship outcome.

2. What is the coach’s training and scope?

Ask about relevant training, experience, supervision or consultation, and the limits of the service. A coaching title by itself does not tell you whether someone holds a mental health license. Renewed Integrity provides nonclinical coaching, not psychotherapy, diagnosis, addiction treatment, or crisis care.

If you are looking for assessment or treatment, seek an appropriately licensed professional. If you already have a therapist, discuss whether additional coaching fits your goals and how the roles would remain clear. Coaching should not require you to abandon care you need.

3. How will Christian faith enter the conversation?

“Christian” can mean different things in different practices. Ask whether prayer, Scripture, or discussion of faith is part of sessions and how your preferences will be respected. At Renewed Integrity, faith informs an approach grounded in grace, honesty, responsibility, and practical action. Scripture and prayer can be included when meaningful to you.

Consider whether you can ask questions, acknowledge doubts, and take responsibility without having to perform a particular kind of religious response.

4. How are partners and boundaries respected?

If your choices have hurt a partner, your goals should not depend on making that person reassure you, monitor you, forgive immediately, or stay in the relationship. Ask how the coach approaches responsibility and a partner’s freedom to make decisions.

If you are the partner seeking support, you can have goals of your own. At Renewed Integrity, partner coaching can focus on boundaries, needs, values, and next steps. Reconciliation is not a condition of receiving support. Coaching does not provide trauma treatment or replace specialist care.

5. What should I understand before paying?

Request the session length, total price, cancellation and refund terms, communication limits, and privacy practices before enrolling. Ask how information is stored, who can access it, and what the limits of confidentiality are. Do not assume coaching has the same protections or procedures as therapy.

For James McClean’s individual sessions and eight-session package, read the coaching options and terms. Between-session updates in James’s package are not an urgent-response service. Dr. Tom Moucka offers individual sessions with separate pricing, scheduling, and policies; review Tom’s profile and ask him about those terms before booking.

6. Can I explore fit without telling my whole story?

A first conversation can begin with what you hope will change and the questions you want answered. You do not need to provide graphic details or send a written account of private experiences to request information.

James’s free, 30-minute discovery call is an introduction with no obligation to enroll. You and James discuss your goals, his coaching approach, and whether the service fits what you are looking for. It is not a therapy assessment or a full coaching session.
